A Railing That Gets Out of the View’s Way
Some homes come with a view that shouldn’t be interrupted. That was the case here, and it shaped every material decision we made for this deck and stair railing system.
We used Canadian Western Red Cedar for its warmth and its ability to hold up outdoors, paired with stainless steel cable that all but disappears when you’re standing on the deck. The result is a modern, open system that frames the view instead of competing with it.
