This client’s instructions were about as clear as it gets: open it up. We started by adjusting and leveling the existing staircase to give ourselves a solid, even foundation to build on before any finish work began.

We manufactured, stained, sealed, and installed Hickory treads, railings, and posts, paired with powder-coated iron balusters for a clean, open barrier rail. The client liked the result enough to bring us back for a second phase, installing new treads and risers on their lower staircase to match, proof that getting it right the first time tends to lead to more work down the road.
