Lakeview

This project came with a tight set of constraints: replace every wood baluster with iron and convert the posts to a box style, all without touching the railing, stair treads, or landing caps, and without moving the grand piano sitting at the base of the stairs.

Working within someone’s finished, furnished living space adds a layer of precision most staircase projects don’t require. The result kept everything the homeowner wanted preserved, including the piano, while completely modernizing the look of the balusters and posts.
